So the past week I've been driving around the NC500 route among other stopping points with four other mates, and the weather was 90% perfect.

Roof down, hot climate and wind in the hair... Could not have asked for better. Many of the single track roads showed me what was capable from the convertible without getting too risky. Seriously enjoyable stuff. I had on SportContact 6 and 265 section rears with 235 fronts. Had no problem with traction99% of the time with M-Track enabled.

Here's a quick video of the Kylesku Bridge run we did. You can hear the Eventuri right from the other end of the bridge as I start off!

Yeah the locals were saying enjoy it while we can, as the past 11 months have been bad!

You left the traction control on the whole time? The car really comes alive with it off far more fun. It's a very intrusive system imo and the roads in the highlands are extemely gripy.

I left M-Track mode on most of the time. A bit of slip, without going overboard. The SCS6 tyres are very grippy and DSC only ever came on twice when taking a hard corner in the wet which otherwise would have resulted in going forwards into a bush. And that was at average speed for the conditions as well. It does iget quite slimy in some sections just after it has rained there.

I can understand leaving it on in the wet but in the dry no way is it needed.

I can understand wanting a safety net.

Yup that's exactly what I mean! At no point did DSC hinder the fun I was having, and when it did light up, it was a genuine moment where the condition suddenly turned slippery on a wet patch that my lack of experience in handling those situations would have meant I could have ended up in a bit of a pinch.

Caution first above all else!

Anyway, I have my photos all uploaded in a gallery now, so if anyone is interested, they can be viewed here smile
