He's not the only one. I didn't like the M2, for me the 1M is a much better car.

I sold him an E30 M3. I'm not sure it gave me friend status though. smile

I'm not really into modern stuff but the 1M is epic. I got to put a few laps in at Brands Hatch and the performance was just so accessible. A little more induction noise would have been nice though.

That will give 1M prices a little nudge, not that they need it

can't say I enjoyed my experience with the 1M, way overhyped IMO. felt very bouncy and drove a bit like a heavily tuned MINI.

my conclusion - sexy arches matter!

He's got to be accruing a nice little collection now, hasn't he? 512TR, M5, RR, 1M, E30?

Plus, he's been bitten by the bike bug and went out & picked up a 1299 Panigale S and now an anniversary version!

I regretted selling this car (at the time) but enjoyed seeing the transformation. It was done just a few miles from home and is a terrific example now. Sadly it appears to hardly get any use (commitments elsewhere I'm sure) but it's making money just sitting there I suppose)

Yes but I guess you are not like most petrol heads as you currently own 19 .. Yes 19 cars that's some serious investment and clearly huge property to house them all.

People care why because they too might want to replicate and unless he is going to be named by the BBC as a £150k plus earner then he will be not too much out of kilter with many people.

Do you really care? He has a very special 911 as well as a 205 Rallye etc tucked away.

The guy has had a 4.0RS and GT2. The 1M is chicken st cash.

Not really but Chris H has previous mentioned on here about massive financing costs /using man maths etc. He is doing what many on here could also do so nice to see someone living the dream with all the ups and downs that brings.

Yes clearly, my 3 bed semi-detached house in the North of England is HUGE.

Not that what I may or may not have is relevant anyway, your post was in relation to Chris Harris and how he pays for his cars. But what do you think it really added to this thread, I am genuinely curious as to why you felt the need to make that comment?

I am sure we all can work out how much we are willing to put into our cars/hobbies/obsessions and how we justify the expenditure.

Everyone is different so if you found out he has borrowed £50k on credit cards to pay for it, would it make you feel better knowing you would never do something so foolish?

Reality is that an inheritance of a couple of million quid is nothing out of the ordinary these days and will allow the average petrolhead to buy what they want. Not everyone needs to come from nothing and count their saved pennies to buy something. So how he pays for it really doesn't matter.

This sort of behaviour normally stems from being envious, bitter, and jealous of others success.
