Fitting a diff and front M4 LCAs significantly shrinks the gap to a M2. The price delta will still be huge, like £13k or so.

You could almost get a GT86 for that. wink ...which is something I'm considering. I'm finding BMW's products a little too polished these days to be fun every day. e.g. I'm in a hire car Fiat 500x at the moment and the fact the engine is audible and vibrates at idle is rather nice, as is the need to turn the key in the ignition to start it regardless of clutch position, no hazard warning lights staying on after braking hard, better judged DSC, the list goes on.

So we took our Mini JCW cab into Elms BMW for a service and ended up buying an M240 cab , how you ask well £10.5k off the price. Cracking car. One very happy wife. Oh and me too.
