Does anyone know how to get the steering wheel to move out the way when put in P? Mine did it, but now doesn't, not sure what I changed. Also is there a way to get the chair to auto move back too?

Easy way is to get it to the dealers - sounds like it's broke yes

Not sure it's broken as it did it today. It must be something to do with the memory settings and how I turn the car off.

Out of interest, what is the correct way to turn it off? I put it in N, engage the parking brake, press the ignition button to turn the engine off and then hold the ignition button with my foot off the brake to engage the park gear. This is normally the moment the wheel moves out the way. Is this the right process? It is annoying it doesn't have a P gear on the shifter.

Do you swap your keys?

You may have different profiles loaded into each key; one set for easy exit, the other not.

I simply turned the car off and then placed the gear lever in R with brake applied and then pulled the handbrake lever at some point as well.

Why do you put it in reverse ? I think they automatically go into park when you press the ignition button twice ? It always starts in park too ?

I put it into reverse so it selects P, I didn't realise that hitting the ignition button twice did the same thing.

It's going very well thanks. Really enjoying the car. 14.6MPG at the moment though. I've decided to take the MPG reading off the instrument panel. wink

I'm pretty sure that if you press the off button once it doesn't go into park -indeed I think mine warns you that you that the car car roll away - you either have to press it again or leave the car and lock it for it to go into park .
So then I press the button again whilst holding my foot on the brake and it restarts ....

Yes pressing twice it's second nature to me now so I just term it as switching the engine off, hand/e brake on of course

If you turn off the engine while in N, then you get a warning, pretss Start/Stop again and the ignition goes off and Park is engaged.

If you turn off the ignition in D, R or 1/2 then you don't get a warning and park is engaged straight away.

Good clarification, just don't open the door! I've got myself in a circler, Warning! Bong! Engine on/Engine off, Warning! Bong! etc....button pressing fest/mess before doing that.
