What are people's thoughts on the G30 M5? The upgrades over the F10 seem to be c100kg lighter, rear wheel steering, a few tech upgrades. Aside from that it seems it will keep the 4.4 V8. The interior looks a little nicer but the exterior to me doesn't. The nose looks a little low and the back too square, but I know these things tend to grow on you.

Overall the model upgrades aren't anywhere near as drastic as the pervious model change and I really can't see people rushing out to upgrade their F10. Thoughts?

I think it will be a big hit.

It will have Xdrive as an option too, which will probably be the biggest seller.

Like every new design the initial thoughts are that it's a disappointment ...

Pretty sure that 80% of the haters of the new design will like it after 12-24months..

I think as far as super saloons go am sure BMW will dominate again and sound like they've taken it that extra step this time..... could it be as good as a gtr as in a performance package??

This is exactly how I was. Disliked the F10 when it first came out, now I think it's a good looking car. Still no E39 though.

No, but early E39s were no looker either IMO. A facelifted sport is miles better looking than an early E39 SE!!

I was surprised how little different overall it looks. Having had my f10 a year now, I think xdrive is really desirable, other than that, I'm in no rush to change at all, and I always changed cars very frequently in the past.

If it does then those designers need to get over to Audi and Merc to understand how it should work about getting decent low ride height.
