There is no built thread as it was build by G-Power to participate in the German Tuner Grand Prix at Hockenheim where it came 2nd.

Every single component on the car was modified. Running a 9:1 compression and a ASA Supercharger at 1bar it made 500bhp. 6-speed E46 M3 box with electric pump and radiator. Stronger Differential with electric pump and radiator. Porsche brakes all round. Recaro SPG buckets and Heigo Cage, AC Schnitzer suspension, Carbon fibre front wings made by AC Schnitzer, CF front splitters made by AC Schnitzer. Breyton wheels. The list goes on and on...
Wow that must have been quite a drive but with all those super expensive custom exterior bits you would want to be far from any other car on a track!

Hexagon are their own special market - they seem to do this very successfully.

That car has covered less than 2K miles. Hardly comparable to most cars on offer and is not a true indicator of market prices.

For that price you could get 2 good examples, one of which you could drive, the other to just look at.

I'm not saying it isn't worth it if you wanted one for your collection.

Mine has delivery mileage only but would never sell it at any price.

It is however only 1/18 scale.

I hope they throw in a new set of tyres for that price.

I've owned both and I have to say that the Z4MC feels every bit as special as the Z3MC. The key difference is that you really have to work at it to learn it. Z3MC was easy as long as you weren't a muppet. Z4MC is a challenging drive.

Also the Z3MC wasn't practical - with only 5 gears I found I was using far too much fuel on motorways, making 1,000 mile road trips fairly uncomfortable. The best I've done in my Z4MC is 29mpg of mostly 80mph motorway cruising in France and Germany.

I can't see why the Z4MC wouldn't reach those values eventually:

- It's raw, visceral, fun.
- It's quick. 5.0s 0-60 is a proven understatement to protect the M3 at the time. Most journalists who tried had it in mid-high 4s.
- It's almost as rare as the Z3MC.
- It's much more usable everyday (bluetooth system is decent, unlike Z3MC it doesn't rust).
- Its chassis doesn't need strengthening.
- It's the last use of the S54, which won engine of the year 3 years running and is widely regarded as one of the all-time greats.
- There's nothing even in its league at £20k. Cayman? Boring. Older 911? Many have tried (check out the forum) and complained that they feel boring in comparison to the Z4MC...

So I think it has as good a chance as any car.

And to add...in Europe they're already almost as expensive as the Z3MC! Take a look on Autoscout.de and you'll find many in the €40k area. It's bizarre that they're so cheap here in England.

Last year we bought a 33k for £17k, there still aren't any sub 40,000 milers out there advertised for under £24 last time I looked.

Daft thing is we bought it as winter runner to keep the maser looking good and retain the value. I'm thinking of swapping them over.

Ive just looked up some replacement steering wheel spoke covers, the rubber coated ones that peel. They should be about £130-175 depending on source but these folk have then up for less than 14 quid!

I should have bought a load, because they were £13 when I looked at lunchtime.

I love the Z3MC, preferred it over the Z3M roadster I had but these are creeping up in value now......

No idea if prices will rise as much as the Z3MC but there is some upward movement since 2012/2013 when they were at their lowest.
I started gathering some data on the Z4MC's being advertised for sale in 2013 when I was looking for mine and have continued monitoring since.

Data I have is;

2014
Quantity for sale: 124
Average asking price: £16,665
Average mileage: 47,251

2015
Quantity for sale: 157
Average asking price: £18,493
Average mileage: 53,289

2016
Quantity for sale: 122
Average asking price: £20,243
Average mileage: 54,775
