They are usually about £50 on eBay and take ten minutes to fit.

Any dealer can match Cotswolds, the grilles retail around 90, so even discount differences are only ever going to be a few quid, so why mess with post, waiting, damage in transit, and then asking someone who hasn't supplied them to fit them, which may not matter, just go to your dealer and ask.

My black kidney grills for my 335i were about 63£ delivered, from BMW. I wonder if the £600 quote is the dealer meaning all the front end parts of the M Performance Body kit, not just grills but splitters etc. ?
I though the black grills were great on my Ruby black E92, but haven't gone down that route on my carbon black E46 M3 or my Imola red E46 325. Maybe that's cos E46 looks better without or it's colour specific?
Looking at Davel's car, I think it looks better as is.

Are you sure they didn't get your request confused with supplying/fitting the front splitter? Even that's only £375 retail (significantly cheaper discounted) and takes about 20 minutes to fit so £600 would be pushing it, but seems more in the ballpark.

Hey Pal, I changed mine from the standard to the gloss back for the grand sum of around £80 and some scraped knuckle skin. It's a bit odd BMW don't make these standard as there is no other chrome on the car and it seems to be a very popular mod. You can fit them in about 15mins, there is no need to remove the bumper at all but it does take a bit of patience to get the existing ones out in one piece. Of course, if you don't care about keeping them intact you could always just pull them out by force. Once you have the first out, the second is super straight forward as you can get your arm in.
