X5 electrical problems

Hi all I recently had to replace the battery on myE53 since then I've lost central locking wipers interior lights I'm no electrician so any help advice is most welcome, sorry Idon't have time to go through older posts

Those items are controlled by the general module. However start with the basics first. Recheck battery connections and fuses.

Looking on the negative side of things is the module expensive to replace and is it something that a novice could do?

Very cheap for a used one. Should ideally be coded to be car but will work if not though may not have the same options as your car.
