In my experience dealers are saying to take the slot at list or they will offer it to the next on the waiting list. No discounts from my experience unfortunately. Unsurprisingly my G80 M4 Comp appears to have suffered huge depreciation in the eyes of the same dealer!
I was wondering how the g80 was fairing , didn’t look good based upon used prices.

I guess unless you get something very limited, the prices are only going to go one way for any of us buying a new one. Depending how long you're planning on keeping it, that may or may not be an issue.

I agree
If you mange to get an early m3 touring I think depreciation will be minimal in 2023

Big money though especially with no dealer contributions, an M3 saloon on PCP was £900pcm with a decent deposit and a dealer contribution... An M3 touring with a few options is going to be surely be £1200 to £1500pcm? I mean it is a cool car but I am not sure its that special especially when you could get an X3M comp for maybe half the monthly price.

Yes, that thought has already occurred to me too. Those sort of figures open up a whole world of fast estate cars, so will be interesting to see what people are paying once we get to the point of confirmed orders and delivery dates.

£1000 a month? I'm thinking a used Ferrari FF! But then obviously you need to look at new v used, warranties, running costs etc.

But yes, there's also RS4, RS6, Panamera's ...

Is it confirmed as a limited run, special edition model? as it needs something for the GFV to remain high enough to make the PCP deals semi affordable

Who in there right mind is going to pay £1200/1500 a month?, the recession is coming by the end of the year anyone sailing close to their income will get a big shock.

Nope, it looks like it will sit alongside the current M3 & M4 as a standard offering, albeit they won't have any trouble filling the order book (which seems to have happened already).

So its not going to be a limited run model, but sounds like if you've not gone in quick, you're either in for a very long wait or are out of luck.

I don't know if this means the Touring is now a "thing" which will be there with every new M3/M4 line or if this is a one-off to coincide with the 50th anniversary stuff. BMW obviously made a thing about how much work has gone in to the Touring to make it drive like the saloon/coupe versions and actually build it, so I don't know if they're over-egging it, or are setting the scene for this being a one-off thing they do.

I mean, they've had so much time to offer an M3 Touring and haven't, so who knows.

Exactly. So I'm wondering if its going to need a very large deposit you can afford to write off in order to get the monthly payments to a sensible level.... Unless you are absolutely minted/are a YouTuber/influencer etc.

My dealer says they are being allocated 4 tourings initially.

I have been lucky enough to be allocated one.

With the M pro pack and the ultimate pack its going to come in around £102k.

Thats a decent amount of cash for an M3.

Adding Techno Violet puts another £4.5k onto that and a heap of extra delivery time.

Does look pretty cool though.

Over a £100k is madness. All you need to do is look at the 3-4 year gfv to see what bmw think it will be worth.

I’m one of the biggest bmw fans but will wait for discounts or a secondhand one. They will be in production until mid 2026 so plenty of time to get one. BMW will make as many as they can once production constraints are fixed.

I pulled back my deposit for now and will look again in a couple of years.

Agreed, stunning car in a stunning colour never the less. Rather put £50k in a Urus have the £1500 a month cost and still get a decent chunk back when PCP deal ends.
