Odd reply. I used to own an F32 440i. Quick car and excellent engine, but it is exactly what I said it is - the most powerful non-M car in the lineup. Nowhere near powerful or special enough to be considered a poor man's M car. Honestly, I regretted not just buying the F82 M4 first as last.

Ok let me be clearer. I made some lame jokes about Alpinas being more sophisticated than M cars, in a half assed attempt to draw attention to a car for sale. Not sure it helped, but I got there in the end. Sunny made a reciprocal joke about 340is. We all enjoyed the bantz. You took the whole thing literally and stripped all the joy out of it. Please think about that. FWIW I already regret selling it because it very clearly is the thinking man’s M3.
