So just pulled the trigger on a new M2. Am I mad?!

Chopping out of an immaculate but 10year old 911 C4S. Hope I've done the right thing!
Sure I'll take a big depreciation hit but yolo!!!

Black on black. Maybe a bit dull but I like it.

They are a brilliant car to drive. I had my local dealers demo for a day and really was sad to take it back.

However for me my F82 is going nowhere for the foreseeable.

I think black on black is the spec to go for, i have seen a couple of baby blue new shape M2 around and in that colour they are pretty fugly in my opinion. They are also noticeably bigger than the previous M2 in the flesh.

Basic (comfort) seats and auto. I really wanted to go manual but just not practical for me as my daily driver.
I'm saving that for a 992T next. Assuming I don't fall in love with the M2!

Black is the best colour to hide it's 'challenging' aesthetics, so good choice (same applies to most/all current BMWs though).

The best colour to show every imperfection on the paint too.

Unfortunately, I know that too (ruby black z4mc). Looks stunning for about 5 minutes, and then it looks dirty brown for the other 99% of the time.

I went Zandvoort Blue, Manual with Black Comfort Seats with the Triple ///M Colours and Comfort Pack, the Comfort Seats are the same as what's in the New M240 which I've done 20K in now and will continue to use as my daily which is why I went Manual for a change on the M2 driving

Good choice. I honestly think these are the pick of the current M range, and they look mega in darker colours.

Give the Collecting Cars Chris Harris review a watch on Youtube if you haven't already.

I've been running a pre-lci F90 M5 for just over a year now and the M2 is the first car that's made me think about changing - hopefully next year when finance APR comes down a bit... if it does!

I think you’re right Hammy. I’ve had two previous M4 comp’s and see the new one and M3 in the dealership and deliberately went for the M2 over the others. It looks the perfect size whereas the M4 looked huge!

They don't do the purple 'Thundernight' in the M2.

Yet.

Although the much rumoured return of a classic M palette purple for the M2 could well be Techno Violet which would be awesome.

If only 'Dakar Yellow' was a standard option....

It would make a good stable mate for these three...
