Pretty useless compared to the older models.

Looks extremely nice mate, well done on a fine ride thumbup. Really liking the CSL wheels on there cloud9. Every time i see one i get a little closer to putting some money down at my local Sytner's!. Still finding it a little odd though looking at the ///M badge on the left side.

Dammit. How dare you post such car pron?! I'm now going to have to see if I fit in one again. I tried one before and I'm a bit too lanky to be comfy. Any other lanky owners out there got hints on seat adjustment?

Interlagos blue looks lovely thumbup

I'm sure you are nice guy DoctorD but right now I HATE YOU!!!
Not only do you get the Z4M but with the CSL wheels...nice indeed.

I know I'll be shot down for this but I can't help but think that a set of white viperesque stripes and some racing stickers would look great, as if it just came off le mans...I think its those wheels-they lend it a more purposeful look than the standard items.

I really had quite modest expectations for this car, but I'm enjoying it much more than I expected. After being involved from a journalistic perspective in a few Z4M articles this year (EVO and Total BMW) I knew where the weaknesses were but decided to take the risk anyway.

BMW should be shot for not providing the car in this format as standard, it makes such a difference to the way it looks and drives. I'm a great believer in running a car in hard, and after owning 4 E46 M3s/CSLs I've a pretty good idea how to treat it. I must say the engine is so much better in this Z4M Coupe than any M3 I've ever driven, it's a great swansong for the S54 powerplant and both seriously torquey and powerful. It sounds pretty great too.

Handling with these Michelin PS2 tyres would now warrant comparison with the Cayman - most of the criticisms of the Z4MCoupe in the press are due to the appalling Contisport Contacts that come as standard. It's now genuinely fun to take to the edge of its handling envelope, where before it required more bravery.

I'm surprised journalists haven't mentioned TVR much in their reviews. It certainly seems to be BMW's version of a TVR (hence my interest), whereas the CSL is more BMW's take on the GT3 (well to me anyway, I like them both).

Edited to say: What did you think of this week's AutoCAR track comparison where the Z4M didn't fare too well in their eyes? I'm surprised it wasn't a few seconds per lap quicker though - it must surely be as quick as something like a T350 or even a Sagaris.
