RE: BMW Z4 M Coupé
Discussion
I think he's living in cloud cuckoo land personally, there will never be zillions of them as they are not mass produced to maintain exclusivety, and £10k would put it below a dozen half decent used alternatives which aren't as good anyway. Like i said, go test drive before commenting out of the blue.

I did'nt mean they are a poor car, more that they are known to depreciate rapidly (£10k at 3yrs old is an exageration! yes). Considering he made that commment back in '06 I think he showed remarkable foresight. Personally I think they're great. Looking forward to a second hand bargain one day perhaps
the z4m is already becoming a bargin my loaded 2.4 yr old AUC Z4MR cost me 47% of list - thats verging on rep mobile depreciation... the coupes are holding value a bit better. i'll be holding it for a good few years so not too woried about further drops...
funniest is the z8.... IIRC it was 80K some 7-8 yrs ago - now doing in region of 100k....

values will won't be shielded by rarity the new z4 is coming out soon followed by the m version probably with the lovely turbo power plant from the new cars or the gorgeus v8 from the m3.....if its turbo i think the next z4 m will benefit from all that efficent dynamics stuff plus a low emission engine they will be onto a winner for sure
i'd be interested to know the lead time to next M version - with outgoing z4 it was nigh on 4 years.... personaly don't think market exists in UK at least especially if upgrade to v8 - benchmark is set by new 911 with PDK ? M (too many bloody acryonms) which at 225 g/km is a winner ///M is going to have to match that....
If I ever get bored with my CSL...which will probably be never then the Z4MC will be my next car...With a few mods as said above, CSL wheels, strut brace, the car looks even better. Also say a white oneat Dick Lovettes in Bristol a year or so ago with black AC Schnitzer wheels..it was stunning...I think the wheels where 20"...probably did nothin for the ride mind.
To many folk comment on cars without driving them. It really pisses me off. The Z4M is a cracking piece of kit. It just had a 2 year build life and last orders are on them now. Expect prices to firm up when this occurs. I would also like to comment that the build quality is a lot better than a honda s2k or Boxster/Cayman. On another point I like the watchlike/sculpted design of the cabin to
I am an ex boxster S and a 911 owner for over 7 years and i think the Z4M is a fantastic car, the build quality is much better, the drive and ride is better too, the M engine is just superb and so addictive, the insurance is £100s less than a porsche too, fuel economy is good for its performance and mid to V high 20 MPG is attainable without much of a problem.
I will be keeping mine for years...........
Get one, you wont regret it, especially at todays shockingly low prices...........

I know..starting at 24k thats just madness when the cars are under two years old or so....If I leave it a year I should be able to sell the CSL with money in my back pocket after buying a Coupe.....have to have a set of CSL wheels and strut brace for it though.

Yes but with a CSL on the drive I'm still a lucky man me thinks.
^ Fair point, but what is it doing on the drive, get out there man, NOW!But seriously, and I know this may sound a little bizarre but I don't suppose you fancy a track day on the 22.9.08 @ Snetterton do you?, my mate has booked it and now can not go, £109?
Mclovin,
Christ! You are right, there is a 2007 for 24995, that's got 2yr warranty left on it ffs.
What is the balloon on a 25K 2007 z4mc over 2 years say? They can't keep depreciating at this rate, surely?
I thought the 2006 cars were a bargain at the £32K level a year ago :S
These are looking seriously tempting, they are stonkingly good looking cars, with the bestest engine ever!
