Seems a bit on the high side. The only good thing seems to be the lower mileage but it doesn't justify the price it's at. I have seen some 04 registered cars (higher spec than the one you're interested in) good mileage etc all for less than 20k.

One thing to bear in mind is the bearing engine failure issue with all e46 m3's up to mid 2003. I have read of quite a few people who have even had the service action performed (which is supposed to prevent the problem) and the engine still failed later on and even worse bmw refused to replace the engines for the owners saying it was caused by other issues (not the inherent fault). The engine was re-manufuactured on all 2004 cars onwards to prevent this bearing issue. If it was me I would only look for 04 onward cars and avoid the highly risky earlier cars. Up to you though. Good luck in your search.

If I was going for a later car perhaps it is better to gor for a Z4M Coupe. Any thoughts on the Z4M?
