There's a guide to this over on bmwowner.com - get yourself registered, then have a look in the FAQ.

Ah good effort. Was thinking about doing something similar myself but am looking at doing the other seals (one that goes around the whole window), don't suppose anybody has any info on that one?

Which one do you mean? The black trim that goes front to back? That comes off with a pair of pliers.

I've got all the parts sitting at home ready to go, just failing to work up the enthusiasm to do it.

have just completed replacing the rear window seals..allow 25 minutes for the first side and 15 for the next..really pleased with result for 40 minutes and a fairly high level of ineptitude!

Gotcha - also got those sitting waiting to go on - I'd imagine they'll be fairly straighforward too - will post back once I've had a go.

Yes please do matey as i don't really want to stick it in the garage to have them done.
