That Sir is absolutely stunning! A shame that it won't get driven, but good to know that original examples of what is a fine car still exist.

Ha. I thought exactly that.

Trouble is, how do you value it? I spend a lot of time on the FLM&B threads and I have to say, I feel more envious of Matt owning this than I do of eny of the fabulous metal on the FLM&B. Why? Well, you just cant find cars like this...

Out of interest, whats the reference to 56k in the thread? You been offered that? Is that what the car was new? Or, are you going all thech and saying "if you're on a 56k connection, you wont be waiting to look at this thread!? hehe

thanks again guys - much appreciated

not sure whether to sell or not tbh - when it goes in BMW car mag in a couple of months then i will ask the ed to mention its for sale

so if anyone is wanting to buy it then a tasty offer will prise it from my grip for sure - everything has a price lick

The old dial up 56k would take about 3 days to have downloaded all of those photos. I think its internet type speak to let others know there are a lot of pictures on the thread too.

Excellent find - with that sort of time / skill investment you deserve some double page spreads as well.

It'd almost be a shame to take it outside now!

I would be interested to hear what needs replacing when looked at by a mecanic. Apart from the obvious, fluids, belts etc it would be intriguing to know how well these cars fair after long term storage.

Best of luck

That is stunning. Will you be driving it or keeping it in a shed like the last owner?

hi neil

according to the mechanic everything is spot on - obviously there was only a visual inspection and the rest is down to how it drives. it starts, idles and runs very smoothly and very quietly. It drives perfectly smooth and pulls hard and consistently. vanos is quiet too.

so hopefully all is good touch wood
