Hi,

Not the most exciting post, but is there any trick to removing the three plastic screws that hold the battery carpet cover in the boot?

No idea but why do you want access? If its for re-charging/jump starting then the positive/negative terminals are in the engine bay.

They are the same type of "screws" as on foot mats. A coin will do the trick to release. The tool kit and tow eye is also underneath.
