I had this too when driving it home for the first time. I had to drive 450 miles to get it home and when I stopped to fill up with petrol it came on straight after, however the car performed ok and I got home ok. Next day it had gone. Reckon it was bad fuel, I was kinda low when I filled up which maybe didn't help matters.

Z4M - My yellow engine symbol warning light "exhaust emissions" came on yesterday anyone else had this ??
Only done 400 miles all on V max - I'll have to take it in no doubt......
Regards
I had this too - faulty Lambda / O2 sensor - replaced under warranty. Not uncommon apparently.

Oh and the Z4M Roadster is a fantastic car. I paid £36k(!) in Aug '08 for a 6mth old loaded car incl Cruise with 2000mls on it. Full retail was £47k so it lost £11k in its first 6mths and probably lost a further £15-16k. Ouch! Wont be changing anytime soon but I am very tempted to get an '07 M3 as a daily driver.... They're so cheap! Be rude not to!

Thanks Guys.....my previous car (vauxhall monaro had exactly the same(faulty O2 sensor)when a couple of months old.
I will ring my local dealer and get it sorted.
I'm still running it in so taking it gently anyway
Regards

PS........does it have 4 x O2 sensors - 1 each side of the front cats ???

Does the M Z4 have the same owners manual as other Z4's
You get a standard Z4 manual, and a thinner M supplement.
Do you have a photo of the M supplement, as I can't find it in my 'wallet' - I've the got books for Z4, service, telephone, assist, warranty but no M supplement?

I've got that booklet too. Does anyone know why the M version doesn't have all the features of the standard car? E.g. oil level display, Airbag switch off etc.. Is it because the S54 is an older engine than the new si models.

Not a big deal but just wandered. Anyone know how the passenger airbag can be activated de-activated?

We bought a brand new ruby black with black leather Z4M cab in May of this year and back then it was 11K off list. Hate to think what it is worth now. It was for my sister and she loves it to bits. Best car she has ever had and she's owned a few. Still has only 800 miles on the clock. I keep telling her I'll drive it when it's run in. Should be ready for summer 2009 at this rate smile
