Does anybody know of this car...or have been to see it?

http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_details/0,,1260...

It seems well specced and keenly priced....but has been around a little while. I'm thinking of going to see it, but not so sure. If i do get a chance to see it, it will probably be after crimbo.

Will it still be there, in the currrent climate?

Imola Red gets the thumbs up.

I enquired about this one when it was £22.6k but bought a red one with black leather instead. It has been around for a while so there is some serious negotiation to be done. However, I don't think that interior goes with the red.

Thanks for the response dude. 2 questions though, if you don't mind-

1. What rims are those? (the pic in your profile). I've always liked the CSL wheels, but there is something about those deep dish wheels that i love.

2. How does the Z4MC compare to your old EP3?

Cheers

That grey ones not mine I found it on a forum!! My Z is Imola Red.

I have no idea how to compare it to my Civic. Z4MC is amazing and the EP3 is nothing in comparison!! FWD vs RWD where do I begin.

I think you should be bidding £20k for that car.

Yes, it is!

I'm still not sure on the colour combo. I like it...but i think Daz is right in saying I *may* struggle to move it on.

I like that colour combo; it's preferable to the £18k blue/champagne one which was on Autoquake. Won't need cleaning as often as black, either.

Does 'vat qualifying' mean that vat has to be paid on the price, or that it is already included and can be claimed back (if you are able)?

Don't like that colour combo, like imola but not with the light interior. Looks a bit naff.

Silver grey with red interior would be my choice...........

VAT is included and can be claimed back if you are VAT registered

Went to see it yesterday. The salesman (nice enough bloke), told me that he'd had a number of silly offers but won't let it go that easily...

...."i'll through in some road tax but that's it"

rofl

To be fair, he did then drop £990.00 after a bit of haggling. He seemed oblivious to the market conditions out there- a pitiful part ex offer ended the negotiations.

I wished him luck with the sale and said "perhaps i'll be back in feb when it is up at £19,995". He looked at me as if i was insane!

...the search goes on!

Ticket price means nothing it's all in the price to change. It's just there to get you thru the door!!

I didn't intend to stop him making a profit (he needs to eat as well).... but to offer about £2-3k less than another dealer has for mine is plain ridiculous.

The cost to change is beside the point- i'll pay what i think the car is worth. I want a value on mine that is realistic.

They won't make money by keeping a depreciating asset in stock.

I guess if you are buying a car to keep for 5 years or so Jan / Feb will be a good time to purchase.

I've been lurking on pistonheads for a couple of years now and since I'm now interested in buying a z4m I will hopefully be able to contribute to this thread soon. I'm hoping to be able to obtain at least a £1500 discount from a dealer if the car is right. From what I understand since most of these cars are only 18 months to 2 years old they still have a manufacturers warranty with them so an approved used 1 year warranty isn't much of a bonus.

In march the new z4m is released so do you guys think that this will have an adverse affect on prices?

A 20k car today will be worth 12 in 3 years.
