Evening all.

As title suggests:

1. Was there a ''chronological overlap'' in the production of 3.0 and Evo cars?
2. What year did they have the digital a/c controls. (I'm pretty sure only Evo would have this)

I used to have a P reg 328 Sport which did but would any N reg UK cars have had this?

I know it's being picky but I would prefer them over the rotary controls...

Lastly did any PH er look at or buy the P reg Silver Evo in Scotland with FSH and owned for 10 years? I prolly would have had that if I didn't have to fly to Scotland to see (buy) it..

TIA - Nick

First of the Evo's were on N plates & the last 3.0 cars were N plates so this is the changeover point 1996.

All Evo's that are fitted with air con have the digital controls, evo's without air con have the rotary knobs. 3.0 M3's have the rotary knobs with & without air con.
So yes only Evo's with aircon have the digital controls.

Simon.

No, but early Evos had the thinner kidney grilles and orange indicator lenses as the facelift came some months after the Evo was launched.

Don't know what year, but the digital dual a/c was available on the 3.0, but not many customers appear to have taken that option. It was standard on all E36 coupes and all M3s, after a certain date, but I'm not sure exactly when that was.

All Evo's had clear indicator lenses including pre facelift ones.
