Z4 M Sat Nav - Help !!!

I have been trying to work out what i need to do to get my sat nav to use a latest disk. There is an overload of info on the z4 and x5 forums!!

- Is it an upgrade to 31 or 32 ? (what mode/form do i need ?)
- Are there any simple instructions out there in one place (rather than trwling through hundreds of posts)?

I have also been trying to understand what disk version i need, is it the HIGH and not the PROFESSIONAL one ?

Any more info and tips would also be gratefully received.

Your Z4M should already have the software to run the latest dual layer DVDs.

Which version of the map disk do you currently have?

I got all my info from http://www.x5world.com/articles/all-bmw/navigation...

But even though I've got the latest 09/01 maps and latest firmware, plus the Pimp-My-Nav, ImgBurn & UltraISO software recommended on the site, I've not managed to successfully add any POIs to a new DVD.

That's what I've been trying to add since I bought the software and DVD.

I have followed the instructions to the letter and still haven't got usable POIs from it - and I've even tried 4 different brands of DVD.

Pimp-My-Nav is supposed to be an easy way to read the DVD structure and add custom POIs and icons.

UltraISO is used to mount a copy of the DVD on your computer so that you can edit the files.

ImgBurn simply burns the modified copy of the DVD back to a blank DVD.

Very wide roundabouts if you're in the e86, or any old roundabout if you're in the e34.

As long as you're in front, it shouldn't matter whether you're sideways or not. If they hit you it's their fault, isn't it?

Mailed you all details. Well worth it and works a treat. Speed cameras, full postcode search and loads of POIs.

I am running version 30 which gives birds-eye view perspective. A navigation disc with speed cameras as POIs (as well as 7 digit postcode search) is also helpful.

Well I imagine it is rather embarrassing when the traffic is behind you on entry, but then suddenly, with a flailing of arms and few expletives, it's not. If you catch my erm, drift...

might have to revisit this myself, last time i tried i figured my DVD writer wasn't dual layer
