Tweaked the brakes pn my CSL as I cannot justify AP's

Standard Discs
Pf Pads
Goodridge hoses
Super Blue Fluid

Decent improvement over standard.
Good man, but why change to Goodridge hoses? What's wrong with the standard BMW fitment?

It's jolly funny to read the threads on this forum & see people spending thousands (if not tens of thousands!!) of pounds on a paltry BMW. If you want a giant killer for the track why not buy a lotus Elise/Exige for £20K & spend less than £5K on a supercharger & all the tyre mods (you aren't interested too much in super brakes unless you are a girl's blouse). - Use the gears to change down - its much cheaper & more fun than the "chicken" pedal.....

Brakes are only for F1 cars, hairpins & when the idiot in front of you f***s up.

If you want to spend thousands of pounds on a road car to put on a track, I would suggest that your priorities are horribly wrong. Spend your money on a nice road car & a 130mph kart or one of the lower formula's & really frighten yourself. You never know, if you are any good you could earn some big dosh........
This really makes me bite.... whats wrong with modding an M3?

Im modding my M3 for track day use... Ive got a Noble for everyday use and need 5 seats for when the kids come round and thus the M3 is used for carting the kids around and hopefully for track fun... for you that may seem the wrong way round but Im not gona risk me noble on track and want to enjoy it everyday and being the fastest thing on the track isnt that important... Ive been there and done that and moved on.

Back on thread... I bought a brand new pair of APs with pads for £300 a few years ago so bargains are out there.

Jesus! That was a bargain! They rarely come up for less than £1500 these days!

The situation I was in was that I needed new discs and pads up front, but after nearly coming off a few hairpins on the Stelvio due to the poor OEM setup (and me giving it too much beans) I wanted an upgrade. I looked at various options, but AP's were a bit overkill for my needs (fastroad) and I spotted the BMW Performance calipers amazing price! I spoke to a few places who just weren't interested in developing a kit to fit them to my car. I then spotted a Speed Religion car at Oulton Park with them fitted, so contacted them, offered my car for a month, and now they're on! Unfortunately I've done bugger-all mileage since they were fitted, and can't make the track day I should be at tomorrow at Oulton to test them. Bugger. They do look good though!

Windymiller. please post back when you've done a trackday. These look like they will suit my Nurburgring trips perfectly. The ring isn't too hard on brakes but I really don't like fade.

Sorry guys, yeah, they performed brilliantly! I gave them full abuse! They were smoking after my first session, so I went back out for a few more cooling laps and they were fine then. No fade whatsoever all day, though I did leave at 2pm. Did a few hundred miles through the Yorkshire Dales the following day too, and were still perfect.

Was back at Speed Religion yesterday having the final production-spec brackets fitted, and there were no issues to report. I'd definitely recommend! From what I gather they're shipping a fair few kits too.

would said setup fit until a 17" OEM E36 M3 wheel with appropriate adaptor, or would I have to upgrade to 18s?
