Why do people put "M" badges on non-M cars?
Discussion
I keep my E12 in a shared underground garage with some other nice kit in there, new M6, a few C63 AMGs etc.
There is also a super-chavved E46 M3 in there (a real one) with some nasty after market tat on it (wheels, splitters etc.)
Last week the owner and his fuzzy lipped mate were standing looking up at my car (the E12, not the E39) and laughing as I parked my daily snotter a few bays down and was walking by them to get out.
"Look at diss fukkin pretender, what a " etc etc etc.
I didn't bother giving them a history lesson, didn't seem like it would be a worthwhile investment of time or effort.

I have slightly mixed feelings about all the M badges our M135i will have having been such a militant anti M badge (on non M cars) hater!
My young pretender is coming debadged (not sure how many badges that will leave)Mine's coming in Mineral Grey so hoping for the sleeper look without badges (until I open the door to all manner of M's on door plate, steering wheel, gear knob etc etc etc etc!)

I drive past it most weekends as it's about a 100 yards from the mother in law's house but never bother to take a photo. It was making a racket outside of my house a few weeks ago, huge exhaust and creaky suspensionIt's a smokey 184 BHP diesel

I live 100 yards from there as well
They live where the road narrows to one cars width. You'll spot either my white non "M" badged 3 series outside or our silver C63 estate once a week when we visit. We only live in the next village so look out as both cars have PH stickers on the backAlex L said:
