Why do people put "M" badges on non-M cars?
Discussion
I just bought this....
Oh no!
Sadly forgot the spanner when I picked it up, but don't worry within an hour of being home...
Still got the fix the "st grill syndrome" but 100 times better without the badge (eagle eyes might notice the equally st nose badge and centre caps in the first picture... Center caps fixed in second picture still waiting on new bonnet and tailgate badge!

Enjoyed this thread tremendously, particularly after I spotted a rare A170 M. Didn't see the owner and was getting looks and eye rolls from the missus, so apologies for quality....
Why would someone do that...just why? Why not an "X" or "S" something equally irrelevant to this car.Edited by TheBanjo on Thursday 23 July 09:33

It crossed my mind that an AMG badge might've been more appropriate, if one was going to mis-badge a car, but maybe it's a dig at ///M owners. I've found owning an M3 can bring out the best, although more often the worst, in other drivers. If only I had a penny for every workman's van that breaks the speed limit to overtake me only to pull in front of me and slow down. One day I swear a ladder's going to go flying through my windscreen.Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
