The W212 definitely has bulging bodywork. Extract from wikipedia:
Oh well if it's on Wiki it must be correct.smile

My old one. I'd say there were no 'bulges' particularly. A keen eye might spot the rear and lip spoiler. Before I'd lived with my new 63 for a few months I couldn't have told you of any noticeable differences between it and the standard new model E Class.
Lovely car that, but is't a W211. W212 is far more bling/bulgy.

Yours looks excellent, very stealthy.

Thanks. I miss it, truth be told. I have the (only slightly) more blingy W212 63 now. smile

I bet, I had a CLK63 from the same era and that was also quite discreet (twin exhausts on the convertible I had rather than the quad set up on the coupe). I tend to think that generation of AMGs rode amazingly and were far more in tune with the original AMG ethos of being discreet muscle cars. They weren't scalpel sharp but nor were they meant to be. And that engine...it needs to be experienced to be believed.

The 212 started off being absolutely fine and the last of the line 6.2s are covetable cars. It was only when they did the facelift in 2013 (the car I had) when the design became a bit too butch and blingy. Still a great car but I found it tried too hard.

W211 still looks great but I'm not sure I'd want to run one when they're at least 8 years old.

So a couple of things, why put a saloon 330i badge on a 330Ci? And why fit stick on wing vents?

I've got an un-modified E46 330i M Sport.

Apart from some interior bits (steering wheel, door plates, gear knob etc), I believe the suspension is lower and slightly stiffer than a 330i, and the wheels are different. Maybe has different front bumper and skirts too?

Mine doesn't have any badges on the boot apart from BMW and 330i.

I assume this is correct? Not that Id want another badge anyway.

Yes , you have the correct badges. If I don my anorak I think the E46s are known as "Sport" rather than "M Sport". There's no difference apart from BMW decided M Sport would be be better to sell cars to people who like lots of extra badges stuck on wings and wherever possible.
