Spot the error here (from a Manchester car park a few months back).....

It's parked within the lines..

wink
Do you know, what's probably even sadder than this aleady pathetic rebadging - is the fact that I then took a picture of it.

The missus told me to get a life. And to be fair, she's probably got a point.......

I'm firmly in the old school camp and believe that an ///M badge should only grace a car that has come out of Garching and not Munich (E39 excepted).
I didn't know that. Do you know if the Garching factory is worth visiting? Is there anything to see?

I might go for a cycle tomorrow evening and have a nose about if there is.

saw a beautiful white M6 convertible the other day. proper M spoilers/bumpers, correct looking exhaust, but then the side mirriors caught my attention, because they were the standard 6 series type. The brake disks were not ventilated either. Shame really

There are a few cases where you might think its got the wrong bits on it and it hasn't though.

My M3 saloon had SE side skirts instead of the normal M3 skirst with a twist in the design. This was correct from factory just on the 4 door M3.

Probably, for the same reason I ask the dealer to remove the M3 badge at the rear of my E92.
Just to fool people and ignorants

One reason I prefer my M3 E92 to other options is that it looks like any other beamer, which is a real plus after years of unwanted attention with other "sporting cars"

I had to laugh today, my car was parked over the road and this guy in a 3 series pulls up M3 badges galore and says to the girl with him, "well you can tell your mates about my M3 now you've had a blast" still revving the nuts off it.
She says to him,"thats an M3 over the road by the looks of it". His jaw just dropped, I said yea it's a real one.biglaugh

If you put M5 badges on your 530D you say the world 'I aspire to more than I am capable of achieving.'

Leaving it badged as a 530D and for all the world knows you are very wealthy and just want comfortable, reliable, value for money transport.

Were the ones on the side repeaters too expensive to replace? There's also plenty of unadorned dashboard space inside -- I'm sure another couple of M badges could go in there to remind the passenger.
