Hi There,

How does one verify that they have genuine CSL wheels? what are the distinguishing codes and numbers?

Realoem.com.....enter your chassis number and then look at the subsection for wheels and you will see a part number. These should be stamped onto the inside hub or rim of the wheels.

Fakes ones don't have 'BMW' written on the front with all the other numbers/letters around the bolt holes.
This picture is of a fake one. If you look where the numbers/letters are there is a blank section at the bottom. This is where 'BMW' would be on a genuine one.



Genuine ones should have 'BBS' stamped on the back of the wheel as well.

Ok thanks chaps. Looks like wheels I was going to buy on the premise they were real appear to be copies, which is a damn shame.
Аnother couple of items to distinguish after doing sone research.

Genuine wheels also have a 'BBS' logo on the inside as well as the part of the wheel which mates to the hub should have lugs with recesses where the bolt holes are on the inner face.
