Lovely! And black looks great too. I'm now convinced that all three colours look v good indeed. One tough looking little car. Enjoy!

It looked like they were using one as the safety car for MotoGP today.

Nope, a white one in at Le Mans Moto GP today and being used as the safety car all year...

Thanks very much to all for the positive comments.

If and when your dealer gets a demo, please go and try, its laugh out loud fun.

Mermaid - hit the nail on the head, for 'only' £40,000 it really is fab.

Congratulations car look great! Plates not bad either.
Thanks, my car but sadly not my plate (mine's been abbreivated). If you know who has 5D, I'll buy it in a flash.

Roll on 1,200 miles....

The plaque???? "one of 450" is it in the car?

The 1200 miles run in is painful. Engine is very smooth and free reving. You will have to watch that rpm needle carefully, however there is plenty of torque to keep you occupied unitl then.

It's all good biggrin.

Scotthalls want a 10% deposit for September delivery, is that normal? Also quoting 4k more than the broadspeed price I was quoted last month.

I put a grand down as a deposit, I would be surprised if Broadspeed could get hold of many at a discount.

I'd be surprised if Broadspeed could get hold of any at a discount.....and it wouldn't be the first time either wink

I know several people who contacted Broadspeed - and no cars were forthcoming at that price..........

Size of deposits are down to individual dealers I think. I used to pay mine £2000 then £1000 but now never pay them anything but I have built up a long relationship with them. Never really understood why someone who's committing to a +£40k car would baulk at paying a £2k deposit anyway - providing the car isn't too many months far from delivery.

Wife put £500 down on her order.

10% seems OTT.

Hey Breadvan.

Noticed in the South Coast thread you mentioned a 1M individual brochure.

Any more info?

Oops, missed your question.

Got the plaque from dealers on delivery but not fitted (at my request) as I will poss put the carbon ashtray cover in and stick it to that.

It is nice to have but I would have prefered an actual numbered plaque. But I see mini are also doing the same thing with a ltd edition 'Goodwood' Mini - One of 1000.

Do you think it will important to the used car market to have it fitted?

Scott on 1addicts was talking about it recently, I guess they have identified much interested in modding the 1M and want a slice of the market under the 'approved' banner. IIRC it's due out mid summer.

I have the CF kit in my 135i currently and was thinking of doing just the ashtry cover and gearshift surround on my 1M, which is what I assume you're thinking of too? Mine isn't due till late next month, so if you do it, I'd love to see a picture smile
