Do you think it will important to the used car market to have it fitted?
NO. In fact I've asked my dealer to leave it off and I'll keep it with the handbook incase a future owner wants it. Personally I feel it's a little tacky. Like the idea of (a few) carbon bits and maybe an ali gearlever to 'lift' the interior a tad.

PS. Should also have said, how are you enjoying the car?!

It is nice to have but I would have prefered an actual numbered plaque. But I see mini are also doing the same thing with a ltd edition 'Goodwood' Mini - One of 1000.
If it's good enough for a 599 GTO...

I must confess I would love any colour, the perfect everyday car in my opinion! I've dropped a million hints for one as a new demo but the sales manager is having none of it!
Well, either you are not hitting the numbers or you are in the wrong dealership. I have stuck a VO one on
for my top sales exec....he reckons he is going to buy it if I try and de-fleet it!!!

I am debating about buying the white one in the showroom at Scotthall borehamwood, its £45,500 and has nearly all the options including heated electric seats, nav, pdc, voice control, usb. They wont do any discount on it.... its BMW UK car and i believe will move to other dealers unless it gets bought, I can however order one and have it in October which is a long time.

Firstly anyone know where there is another forsale or where I can get a discount on a new one, Currently own a new shape M3 and am not sure whether this is going to be a good or bad move...

Help please...

That the one I saw yesterday at Croydon? Almost the exact spec as my VO order. Stunning.

Nice with the black grilles too!

Hmmm - that one and the other BMW UK car (the VO one) have had a hard life... you should have seen the state of the tyres before they went into the BMW HQ showroom. Still, at least one of them has a new clutch...

Dave - no sarcasm intended - have you driven both? A few guys over on 1addicts who appear to, *really* like their 1Ms - but obviously it all comes down to what you want from the car.

As above, not meaning to be rude but have you driven both? Two quite different cars. Depending on what you want from a car the 1M could be considered the 'better' car - by a long way. And of course visa versa. Drive both and decide.

The debate will rage on, but the answer will always be = they are different cars.

I've noticed before that the two darker colours (orange & black) seem to disguise the fairly large gap between top of front wheel arch and tyre which is more obvious on white cars. Same in these pics - either that or delivery chocks are still in.

Thanks for posting pics btw!

You're welcome.
I noticed the same thing on these cars straight away, the AW car seemed to have a much larger gap there.

Wow the first off road AW 1M.

It must have the delivery blocks in, the VO has plates on therefore pdi'ed and the AW doesn't suggesting its straight off the transporter and into the showroom.

Everyone comments on the visual ride height, but on the road you really don't notice it, the body control is amazing. I am feeling very reluctant to lower it at the possible expence of ride quality.
