Is there a way to find out which dealers have the cars and what spec they are without a load of ringing around?
Have been thinking the very same thing. When I called BMW UK HQ a couple of weeks ago, they couldn't tell me which dealers had cars for the launch Drive event. Wonder if this will be the same story.

Feed all dealers in a given radius to you into your e.mail and bang off one e.mail to the lot. Can't be that many you're happy to travel to and a lot less hassle then phoning them all?Pugsey said:

There is no email, just a contact us form which becomes seriously irritating even after one fill out.Does anyone have a list of all the email addresses of bmw dealers that can be pasted into an email?

I popped into Scottall - Watford this evening, and they had a 1M in the showroom priced up, so I guess it's available..?First one I've seen in the flesh, and it looked drooltastic
It was VO and high spec; Pro Nav, Harmon Kardon audio, leccy + heated seats, power fold mirrors, adaptive xenons, sun protection glass etc. £45670 IIRC was the price.

They offered me that car but I don't need all those options.First one I've seen in the flesh, and it looked drooltastic

MUCH more impressive is the grunt (torgue figure) this car's got as standard. Means that in the real world (give and take on public roads) it'll blitz an M3 - unless the M3 driver is happy to permanently operate in the very top of his cars rev range. After remapping (and attending to any cooling issues) it'll be no contest full stop. I've mentioned the M3 but you could replace that with any number of 'faster' much more expensive cars for that matter.

The M3 is a good example - the absence of torque lower down (unlike say an equal powered RS4) is a negative for a daily driver on our roads.Mermaid said:

inclined to disagree with that to be honest. have spent probably about 3-4k miles in an M3 and a similar amount in an RS4 and would say that low down there doesn't seem to be much in it, though the M3 seems a bit better top end.E21_Ross said:

I understand what you are saying re the 1M v M3 , but realistically in the real world is there really an overtake you couldn't make in an M3 that you would do in a 1M. Gassing Station | M Power | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
