Congratulations, you've done the right thing... Had my CSL for 14 months now and done 22,000 miles in all weathers.. Great car and every drive is special.

Thanks again for advice guys.. I certainly took my time to decide from my original post nearly 2 years ago. lol, But I know my decision to buy was the right one, My short ownership already confirms that this is a very special car, Possibly even seeing me getting up for work 2 hours early to go the 'scenic route' into work via the Evo triangle. biggrin.. Maybe the hype for these cars really is totally justified.

Congrats. I know u r on csl register too.

my first black csl was a daily, used to be parked on the street in twickenham and had no issues. To most people it looked like a black bmw and at best an m3 to those in the know.

i traded in a 911 for it and people thought i was mad. I liked it that way...get out on to the a316 on way to work and then open the taps....

that was like 7 years ago and life has changed....got married, moved out of town and two kids.

my second csl is an SG one, has higher miles and not a daily. It lives in the garage, under a cover, on the trickle charger and SORN until spring. What with work, two young kids i have little time and its on cups too so very lively in this weather.

each to their own but its a special car and a real occassion when u go out in one. If i drove it every day i know i would not feel that.

cant wait for new year and better weather, long evenings, ph meets at grasshopper and doing a few cheeky eve track sessions at brands as its 15 mins from home and 'on the way back from work' too :-)

would i park one in a station? Prob not as the parts are expensive, sought after and all it takes is one in the know and to know its there everyday before bits go missing. The polaks know their BMs too and plenty of them around in kent to not want to leave it somewhere on a regular basis.

Your old one has never seen a street for 7 years and is tucked up in a heated garage for winter xmas
