And what about driving in different temperatures? Very cold and very hot? Can the mapping of the fuel cope with these exremetees or can you notice some dips/hesitations?

Hot makes no difference although extreme cold (under 0 degrees) can give a slight hesitation around 2500rpm but only until the oil starts to warm which is around 5 minutes.

I also weighed up the pro's and con's to buying a CSL but really glad I did now, still look forward to every journey. It's the kind of car that makes you peek outside the curtains to admire it. As for durability, my E46 M3 was showing 86K miles and was running like it was brand new so I'm hoping the CSL will be the same (currently at 26K).
