Although some well known CSL tuning co's do recommend KW3's and some recommend you dont fit them ...confused

Indeed.. hence the reason i thought I would spark the debate.

Would of been better to 'slag off' the KW's!

Of course I use the KW's but havn't tried the intrax set up so I wouldn't be in a position to fire back!

Referring to tuners companies such as Simpsons (where I presume you had the intrax fitted) and Thorney's (where I had my KW's fitted) are different in the fact the Simpson's build race cars and Thorney is more of a fast road/track tuner - and he recommends KW's which I suppose is more suited to their market in terms of performance and price.

We also know a respected tuner by the name of Tom Schirmer who runs a motorsport business near the Ring who builds E36 and E46 race cars from scratch. He recommends KW (in all guises) so I guess what I am trying to say there is no right or wrong answer!

Would make for an interesting magazine type feature where expert panel drivers (at this point, I will proclude myself from the panel!) could establish the benefits/downsides of each kit from a non-biased point of view....

Is there any way of telling which cat you have on the csl?
i.e. external marking? (100 or 200)

if the car has 200 cell cats and you fit the 100 cell cats does it affect the emissions enough to upse the lambda sensor? if it does how do you manage to get round the problem if anyone has found this an issue?

cheers
