Another one currently for sale here on Pistonheads and they don't get any better than this !! Price questionable but at end of day it's probably the best example of this rare model currently in existence. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...

Been a while since any LE owners posted here . Notice number 53 has died recently , someone is selling it's brass plaque on E Bay ! My number 131 is about to have a suspension and brake refurb. - WB's blasted and painted / new OE bushes / New Balljoints all round / new discs , pads and flexis.

Boxer, do you own the car ramps/lift in this picture?

I would love to get my hands on a sat of these scissor type things but cannot find anywhere that sells them!

Show off ;-)

Very smart though. I've done a more half hearted version of this. Rubbed down and painted everything in situ.
I also have the mx5 parts s/s exhaust. Amazing how shiny it still is after nearly 6 years.

Thanks GH !! It's a long term keeper and will be worth it in the end - unless I 'end' before it ...... !!!!!

Right offer at right time mate ... had just about got it perfect and I need projects , good job I'm not like that with the ladies as I'd be Bankrupt by now !! Plus I fancied something a bit older hence the '71 MGB Roadster, completely different driving experience but from a very different time ....

I see where your coming from. I love my Eunos but I have a big desire for a RWA Midget.

Hi all
Bit of a long shot if anybody is still following this thread! I can confirm that No. 125 is now very safe and in my garage. Its in very good nick except for the paintwork which is considerably faded and the lacquer is peeling. Its pretty original except for yellow Koni dampers(nice) and a twin exhaust (a bit too loud).
I've got two questions:-
1) I've only got a key and no alarm fob. No problem as car starts/runs fine but I assume therefore that the alarm/immobiliser must be immobilised. My original handbook shows location of immobiliser override but I can't find it and have no idea what it looks like. Any ideas?
2) My steering wheel and hand brake are the correct wood but the gear lever is now a standard plastic one. Does anybody know/have an original one?
Couple of pics attached.
Cheers. Richard

The alarm has probably malfunctioned at some point and been removed. That's what happened to mine (I presume) although my immobiliser still works.

Get on the mx5 buy and sell pages on Facebook. You'll get one pretty easily I'd imagine as a lot of people are ripping out the beige/ wood interiors. Because racekor/ drift missile.

I'm pleased to have found this forum. I'm the proud owner of number 100 smile It's just had some minor rust issues sorted and a full body respray, new windscreen, some small electrical jobs done and reverted back to the number plate sticker. Plus I'm delighted to have laid my hands on a brand new set of original Oz wheels to replace my slightly shabby originals. I'm going to have the immobilizer and central locking sorted soon and then on to the interior. More pictures to follow once I have the new wheels and tires fitted. I would love to get hold of the original leather folder and manuals. I have them including the certificate but they are in poor condition.

Looking good !! I still miss number 131 ... notice it's now on sale again at nearly £10k , a tad optomistic I feel. http://www.dbmotorbrokers.com/view-car2.php?car_id...

Id just like to report that number 194/250 is safe with myself now, unfortunately she has alot of rust in all the typical areas for a mk1, currently seeing if her body is savable. wish us luck smile
