Looking great and you are correct in the 'limited limited' status - thanks for the confirmation on the hood . What number is your dad's LE ?
Number 136. Sorry, haven't managed to find any more pics on my pc but I'll see if he has any.

Do any of you Limited Edition enthusiasts still have the original Clarion CRX111R Radio Cassette in the car. I have reinstalled mine yesterday and although I have the 4 digit code , I cannot get the unit into the flashing 'code in' setting . I've followed the instructions on a downloaded Service Manual which states that unit must be turned off and then turned back on whilst holding down the tuner button (top right of unit) - then the 'code in' message should flash intermittently to enable the code to be input. When I adopt this procedure all I get instantly is a 'security' message ! Any suggestions ? Am I adopting the right procedure ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

do you know, despite the glorious original condition of the undercarriages on the recent jap imports, I do believe I prefer seeing fabulously maintained ones like this.....

I think it's due to the clear amount of sweat and tears that's gone into them!!!! clap

Cheers Mattlan - just wait till you see the revised pics. with new ARB's / Droplinks and shiny nuts , bolts and brackets !! OCD can be a very expensive problem............. but then again , these are iconic sports cars and deserve to be preserved.

Not sure if this is of any help have the Clarion Finish Line540. To enter code on this unit, from the manual.

Turn power on COde appears on the display.

Use the preset buttons (1-5) to input your CATS code. "Code" disappears from the display and the input numbers are displayed in order starting from the left hand side.

If proper code has been entered the display will show radio frequency and unit is set.

Good luck

Thanks S27 - regrettably it appears my CRX111R unit has locked out due to many previous wrong code inputs . However I have managed to talk to David at Clarion UK who even after all these years is familiar with the unit (he worked with Mazda UK back in the day when my LE was introduced) - he has agreed to unlock and return without the need for future codes and the unit is with Clarion UK now for this process to be undertaken. Once back in working order it will be another little bit of originality restored to J131PKV !

Yes they are special Mk1's Meorge - haven't noticed any for sale over past few months but keep checking E Bay / Car and Classic and of course this site on a regular basis.
