Driving along and the power to the HU intermittently cut out over a 10 minute span before dying completely.

I've bought a new Pioneer HU and still no power.

Other than blown fuses which I've yet to check (interior light still works so can't be room fuse), what could be the problem?

The mk1 has a fuse box by your right foot, one fuse which covers the radio and the 12V socket. Mk2 might be similar ?

Both interior lights and 12v socket work so it can't be the fuses as they're shared with the radio.

Any other ideas?

I swear by/at a Haynes manual. Won't it have a wiring diagram ?
