I want to lower my NC 2.0 option pack with 16" wheels. I have recently bought a brand new set of H&R springs for a bargain price of £59. The springs lower the car by 40mm and I am now wondering weather that might be to low. Has anyone lowered their car by 40mm? if so how did you get on with it in day to day use? My car is also fitted with Bilstein dampers. Would like you hear of your experiences and also your opinions of this set up.

My mate lowered his NC 2.0 sport with the eibach 45mm springs. It was too low imo, scraped over speed bumps but worse, it killed the Bilstein shocks in less than a year(which were only 15k miles old). He's now having to buy coilovers to sort the rather bouncy ride. I'm sure others have had better experiences with them though.

Looked really cool though!

mine has koni coilovers , still get the odd scrape on speed bumps even when going slower than walking -ace and diagonal but the handling is awesome.

considering a geo setup but need to assess state of alignment bolts and bushes first as 20 year old car normally means cutting old bolts away.

Sold the H&R springs as the general opinion seemed to be they are to low. Have now decided to visit WiM sometime during the summer holidays to have there own springs and geo set up.
