Had some overheating issues at Silverstone yesterday and on closer inspection, bottom of the original rad is smashed to pieces. So I think a replacement is on the cards. I've tried Dan at Fast5 as I've heard great things about his rads, but he's out of stock and has no idea when more are incoming.

Any recommendations on where I can source an uprated performance rad for a mk2.5 - ideally at a budget/reasonable price?

Thanks- looks like the are sold out there too. I can get a mishimoto one, but a fair few £££ more expensive than the others. frown

I can second the IL Motorsport one - mine has been faultless since I fitted it a couple of years ago and has had some pretty high temperatures to deal with (stuck in traffic in the South of France during the middle of summer was a notable instance).

I've tried that before and ILM wouldn't process my order and referred me back to MX5 Parts.

I've bought from them before. Maybe they've changed their policy.
The nice little chrome bits I've bought direct from Chrom Design who make them.

I'd be inclined to wait for Dan to get them back in. Hes always doing group buys as well. I bought one for £130 or thereabouts. Quality is very good indeed.

Maybe put a good condition 2nd hand one in as a stop gap?

Thanks for the suggestions. There are a fair few "high flow" or "race" options available on eBay and they all look pretty similar.

Any reason these should be avoided?

Dan wasn't really able to estimate when he would be getting them back in stock and I've got at least 2 if not 3 track days coming up in the next couple of months so want to get something sooner rather than later
