Pour a bucket of water over the windscreen to see if it comes down in to the footwells especially passenger sde.
It's a 'gromit/plug' thing that splits easily. Usually occurs followinng a windscreen change but not always

Evening chaps, wow a real wealth of knowledge on here.

So it would seem having the top down makes a difference to aerodynamic efficiency, hence the difference in top speed. From there I can also assume that it would improve your mpg with the roof up, not that I will put the roof up to improve from 30-32 mpg mind, having it down is far too much fun. In the morning I have been driving to work with the roof folded when it is wet from last night's dew/rain, is this a problem? Aside from this so far I have gotten 160 miles from half a tank with very mixed driving which ain't too bad IMO. Other than that I have not checked the drainage holes (don't know where they are) but everything is dry inside to it's all good. Booked in for 6th annual service now, paid for wheel alignment to be done also.

Cheers, Lew.

Had mine late 06 NC MX5 for 3 months now.

Took it to South of France and back this summer. Got 40 m.p.g. (but I am an old fart)

Now on 40,000 miles - had a rattle at 2,000 revs on idle that worried me a bit - turns out it was the idler/tensioner for the aux belt.

Bought some lower Eibach springs to fit this winter and will replace the rear discs and pads (MOT advisory)

Loving the car. Will definitely keep the oil topped up..

Had my 2l sport roadster coupe for 10 weeks now. Sat outside through the current hurricane with no leaks ( unlike my previous élan ) 57 plate , done 1300 miles , doesn't burn oil. Gearbox notchy when cold so will get that and rear diff oil changed. Was going to lower it but already has Bilsteins so will leave it as it is for a while.

Ps: Muley , imagine meeting you in here , I'm sure Rambo will join us eventually 😉😉
