Hi J,

having never had one of these fitted can you tell me if they actually make a difference, apart from cosmetics?
normally air flow and any downforce it may achieve doesnt come into play until high speed, be interested.

Also, while your there, Bedford, 10th Nov MSVT, OPL, £99 ???????????????driving

I have a small one on mine, just cosmetic, i don't think standard 5's can get enough speed up to make a difference smile

I put the other type of lip available (iirc R style lip) on my mk1 and yes it has made a difference, before above 80mph, on the track, the nose would feel light now it feels a bit more planted.

The Mazda lip spoiler is supposed to make the front less "floaty". It just helps the airflow go around the car/through the rad rather than under it - the Mk1 nose isn't really particularly well designed in terms of airflow.

this was what i was looking for, when on the road rather than the track. Anything above nsl does tend to lighten up the front end. I Might have a looky at getting one, or maybe one of the redesigned front bumpers, if anyone has experience of these.

Hi D,

Im doing Bedford Autodrome on 1st Nov with a couple of other MX5, your welcome to join us - Lazza did you give me an answer? I will look at other date as well D as im freer time wisevand what to squuze in some before weather closers

I think it did make a difference until i conducted a experiment at abingdon to see how much the tuft of grass was higher than the tarmac at 60mph. (Sorry john )

But also want back on as suits it, which leads to my first question where from?

(Btw john said it best fitted with rivets and bond)
