I reckon the shifter might be fake, its actually broken and seems to be some generic multi fit thing, steering wheel is a momo too.

Boot insulated and wing mirror plastic sealed back on. Found out the reason it wasn't starting properly too - the key was being turned too much in the ignition!

Things to do:

- Radio 'popping' when on tuner, aerial, loose connection? Doesn't do it when on USB
- Fix gaiters
- Fix new gear knob

I guess most of the these will be done once I start pulling the centre console off.

Also looking for a Eunos badge for the front in good condition however don't want to pay the £50 MX5Parts want!
Wheels need refurbing too.

Got a quote for dipping it, £400 for gloss white, sound worth it on a £1000 car?

great cars and you will have fun. re the leaks. just found some on mine. the rubber that touches the windows had moved. enough for water to drip in. this could be your issue. have you checked the drain points. if you pour water around the base of the back of the roof. it should exit under the car on both sides. if these get blocked causes damp. i replaced my roof. although took a while it was worth it. your roof looks in good condition though.

It isn't bad!

I'm still going to run around the roof sometime this weekend with the caulking gun and fix everything up.

Insulated the boot and everything seems alright, tiny bit of water must be coming from the dodgy aerial mounting which is on the to do list (seems someone has completely bent it). Any recommendations for aerials?

Got the V5 today and noticed it's still registered as Black, whoops. Time to get that changed!

Other things on the list:

- Stiffen up exhaust mounts, seems to be swinging?
- Bubblewrap the soft top stored away (causing a right rattle)
- Various other rattles
- Possible PPF allignment (again, might be related to the exhaust)
- CAS seal

Nightmare struck today, sodden drivers seat. Looks like all the seals on the hard top have just decided to give up. Might be time to make room in the garage if this weather's keep up.

Silly question, should the seals on the hard top be 'slack'? Mine are incredibly limp.

It's going to CBS tomorrow, annoyingly the grinding noise I originally booked it in for has disappeared today!
