That time of year and my renewal seems kinda high (admiral).

Any specialists you guys can suggest I try please.

Car is standard, do about 8k a year, garaged, used for SDP + commuting to/from work.

Many thanks.

Try a comparison site such as confused.com. In my experience i have always found Admiral to be expensive. Were you aware that declaring your car as garaged can actually increase your premium by as much as 12%. This is due to the amount of claims insurance companies receive from owners who have damaged their cars whilst entering or exiting a garage.

Im currently with the RAC. £143 per year fully comp for me and the wife including protected NCB. 46 y/o with max NCB and EX5 postcode.

Thanks for all the advice folks - £90 saving is not to be sniffed at.

Car insurance is such a personal thing - nobody else has your exact age, driving experience, post code, job, driving miles etc. An insurance company that one person finds cheap might be expensive for you. Equally, one that's expensive for me might be cheap for you. The only way to find the best insurer is to do the rounds and phone as many as possible.
