Hey guys,

I'm working at a studio in east London and cracked what I think is part of the exhaust system on a steep ramp going from uphill to horizontal at a sharp angle. I've not had the car long but soon learned that speed bumps are not it's friend and have always been over-cautious with them but the ramp caught me out.

What I can see under the car is a crack with part of damaged pipe (silver metal colour) bent downwards slightly. It's closer to the front end of the car, between the centre of the chassis and the front wheels. Why I think it's the exhaust is because driving after the incident the acceleration felt noticeably poorer and the engine creates a deep dodgy sound at 2500 RPM on the rev counter. Sounds fine under or over 2500 RPM though.

Before I get the chance to take it in a garage, does this sound like damage to the exhaust and will it cost me an arm and a leg to repair?

Thanks a lot
