I'm doing the Saturday morning slot in the Midlands. I have to say I had no interest in this having just bought a pretty ropey Mk1 but as I sat in my NA for 15+ hours over this weekend I'm thinking that it is maybe a little too ropey at the moment and buying cheap may not have worked out given that I've already put about the purchase price into the car so far this year!

I also do really like the looks of the ND and if the dynamics are good then I'll be very tempted, that plus I've always been weak to a good sales pitch and a 2.5 hour pitch may well beat me down biggrin

Looking forward to it, will hopefully get to try both 2l and 1.5l cars and an SL trim Vs Sport if possible as well...not that I'm considering these options seriously you understand...

Midlands Saturday 4pm slot for me. Bringing a friend with me, we're looking forward to it! Hopefully will have some photos to share aftwards.

Wasn't at Goodwood, but have recently been entering my email in for 'keep me updated' info on the new car, so must have been picked from something like that.

Official on sale is 28th August, realistically, I can't see anyone not waiting a few days and having a 1st September registration...

Already 0% on the 1.5.

As soon as they do that on the 2.0, i'm in.

According to one brochure I have it says 0% available on the MX5 but no mention of it being restricted to just the 1.5.

I just rang em. Some deals on the 2.0 (mainly for PCP'ers atm) but not the 0% yet. It'll come, i'm sure.

50% down, 50% paid off at 0%APR available on the 1.5. Which in our house would be perfect.

I'm on the early Midlands event. I'm very interested to see how it stacks up against my GT86 that's had a fair bit done to it.

Have any realistic mpg figures been released yet? I know that's not the point of a sports car, just interested.

Yes the website confirms 0% on the 1.5 only. Here's a handy video of all the colours in the flesh. Which one would you choose?

Red look good, but then so does white actually. The black windscreen surround contrasts well with all the body colours.

Interesting that most had darker wheels. I'd be looking at the purer white and maybe the black I think

I'm told by my sales guy that 0% is definitely available for the 2.0.

And my expected delivery date is 3rd week of August.

According to the specs it's just the 1.5 Sport and 2.0 SE-L/Nav that have the gunmetal alloys. Apparently the 2.0 Sport has 17" bright alloys, so I guess silver.

Liking both the red and the white.

Shame I can't have the black mirrors with the red on the 2.0 sport.

Anyone had any experience of Mazda paint fading over time? Thinking the red may end up looking pink after a few years! Thinking Hondas and Vauxhalls of a few years ago.

On a new car it won't be an issue. Paint used in the last 10 years or so should be pretty resistant.

Unless its a Royal Mail van laugh Seen my postie in an 08 plate with the red sides and pink roof/bonnet combo.

I do like the Soul Red though and the pearlescent white, think the blue is poor they seem to have chosen a dull grey blue rather than the very bright blue you can get in the other Mazda cars.

Myself and Mrs JV went to a launch afternoon at Tunbridge Wells yesterday afternoon. We were impressed with the car and she has placed a premininary order for a red 1.5 with black leather.

Only real issue to sort is the derisory offer they have made for her present car, an Audi A1 TDi.

One thing I forgot to check, does anyone know whether the rear window is glass or plastic?

The rear window is glass, I went to look at one at a Glasgow dealer yesterday and was quite impressed with it. I won't be looking at getting one till next summer but I am somewhat disappointed at the model range, essentially everything I want isn't on a single model unless I ordered one from Japan direct since their 1.5's have good stuff on them and isn't treated as a budget choice. I think black is a good colour for it but hopefully at the experience day next month I'll get to see it in black in the flesh. I do have to say the cars front end does look a lot better in person than in pictures and surprised by the amount of space under the bonnet, I can see mods shall be fairly easy smile

How does one go about doing an experience then?
