So what have you treated your MX5/Eunos to recently?

Removed both front wheel arch liners and cleaned out all the crap that gets in there then re under sealed the wheel arches.

Had the backs off yesterday and found a bit of surface rust, treated that, the re undersealed the rear arches.

Found a leaking rear shock as well whilst I was under there.....

Nothing fancy, some new floor mats as the underside of the drivers one disintegrated and it ended up folding itself under the pedals, which wasn't fun

Also, a while back, I replaced the battery with a non-standard one which is more powerful but a little taller, so I cut and re-welded the battery bracket bar to make it fit.

I painted my wishbones/subframes a couple of years ago. So figured I'd give it a quick clean and paint the calipers before the roads get covered in salt again.

Just got my Eunos back after getting it fully undersealed at the same place as akaRob up above.

Really chuffed with the finish, fully cavity waxed as well so should hopefully keep the tinworm at bay for a couple of years.

I have ordered some retro switch hazard and light switches from Revlimiter which should arrive in the next week or so.

I also got a set of tuner wheelnuts from Driftworks to go with my new alloys - need to get the wheels sealed with GTechniq C5 and then get some tyres fitted - no great rush as the car won't be doing many miles over the winter.

I'm doing a few interior bits now the performance side is decent smile Added this centre console a couple of weeks ago, along with a switch to dim the boost gauge and turn off the gauge backlights (got some green caps to put on the bulbs). Also added suede gaiters :

A set of MS0-1R wheels. Just waiting for some open faced nuts to arrive from Driftworks so I can run them with the caps on.

I treated mine to a 100 km drive tonight with the roof down , awesome ! It lives in a barn at my parents and I hardly ever drive it. Doubt it has done 100km in the last 3 or 4 months ! I had a great time

Picked up a cone filter and heat shield on the way home last night from an MX5 Scotland member, and also bought some Zoom carbon mirrors from a guy on Nutz.

MX5 Parts exhaust to go on, seeing as the current one has quite large hole in the backbox....

Handy, while it's up on axle stands while I clean/protect/underseal :-)

Brilliant, Daz.
Gave the Caterfields a run for their money even straight out of the pits then?
Amazing what a Sunday morning run over Harting Down can lead to isn't it?

cheers Pete,

to be fair, between me and my Lad taking turns at the wheel the tyres didnt have time to cool down during pit stopslaugh straight out on sticky Yokos chasing down whatever we could. The car was exceptional, the first time ive really pushed it to the limits on the track and it felt really good, progressive slide and excellent turn in, Lezbo still wont get in it though, reckons its gonna kill me one daythumbup

New sills, a rear arch and a front wing. All done by those lovely chaps at The MX5 Restorer.

Few other little bits too.

Have to say, their work is absolutely first class, needs a full machine polish and gtechniq application now. Also a wheel refurb to bring them back up to standard.

They're having mine in soon for some fettling.

I haven't taken any pics yet, but I fitted some mk2.5 black leather "surfboards". Massive difference in comfort. They're slightly too high, but a smaller wheel should sort that.

Literally four bolts to refit, but a word of caution - if your Eunos has a seatbelt buzzer, you'll need to swap the belt buckles from the old onto the new seats. The mk2.5 ones go to a different connector.

Next installment - a stock bootlid to replace the factory-bespoilered one. It looks about a million times better, despite being in worse condition (which doesn't matter, since the whole bum-end of the car is getting resprayed anyway in the spring).
