So what have you treated your MX5/Eunos to recently?

Just ordered the gear lever boot kit from MX5 Parts to repair the torn one I currently have.

Going to replace the lower boot at the same time so hopefully make a difference to noise/heat ingress into the cabin.

Just ordered an MX5 Parts single outlet exhaust as mine started to blow last week.

Made a big difference when I changed mine recently.

I've gone a bit mad in the last six weeks, BBR Super 200 mod, MeisterR coilovers and just today a Remus Powersound exhaust with adjustable valves.

Will be going to my brother's tomorrow to pick up a second set of blingy 10AE wheels and a set of new tyres (he's storing them for me). I'll be giving them a clean and taking them to be fitted with the new tyres. The 17"s will be removed (tread getting borderline) to make way for them, ready for the MOT next Saturday.
And then it had to have a new lambda sensor as it failed its MOT on emissions, with an advisory that the sills are starting to rust (again!) weeping.

I think so, just been to Croft this morning to check the volume levels and it measures 87.8db through one side and 88.2db through the other. This was when warm after an enthusiastic drive to the circuit. He said that would be fine on one of their quiet 88db max volume track days but then air temp, air pressure and a few other variables could see it increase and fail.
The zorst is bloody lovely, and is louder than those figures once the valves are fully open.

It would be good to see some photos/video of the beast in action. Are you doing a track day any time soon?

I've not got any planned at present. I've a holiday, new passport and one or two other things to pay for. I'll probably head to Teesside Autodrome one evening for one of their cheap Monday evening sessions, not sure when though.

I just can't seem to gel with the ride height on my Eunos since fitting the Koni sport shockers with Eibach Pro-Kit springs so I have just paid a deposit against the MX5Nutz Group Buy on Meister R Zeta S coilovers.

Due to be back in stock by end of June so looking forward to getting those fitted.

Anyone wanna buy some Koni/Eibachs? biggrin

I just can't seem to stop, I've booked it in to get the hubs and brake calipers cleaned up and painted plus the alloys are going in for a full refurb. Fella doing it is fully booked up until towards the end of June though so I've got a bit of a wait.

Brakes overhauled this weekend. All should be well for next month's MOT now, fingers crossed.

Noticed a few weeks ago whilst changing the oil, that the OSF wheel wasn't spinning freely in the air and I've also had a knocking noise coming from the rear when braking.

I've just stripped, cleaned and re-greased the front and rear brakes.

The OSF pad on the piston side was jammed in the carrier, the NSR slide bolt had a small layer of corrosion on it and all of the pads were gummed up with brake dust and hardly able to move about.

What a huge difference it has made! I actually have some feel through the brake pedal, have more stopping power and that horrendous noise has gone!

The car actually rolls down the slope out of my parking space now, they must have really been grabbing before!

Just finished installing TR lane GPV roll-bar, took me a while and I nicked the sodding roof with the angle grinder. (luckily its under the flap above window!) Chuffed with it though feels solid and I like the look of it. Next job is to sand down and spray paint the Mazdaspeed front section I sorted with marine epoxy.. Its not going be concourse but I'm getting a lot of satisfaction from sorting it myself.

I'm going for the BBR 200 kit soon. How do you find it?

Nice thumbup

Treated mine to a 1000 mile blat up to Northumberland last week - a drivers paradise with very little traffic on the roads. However, not sure she appreciated the drive over the salty causeway to Holy Island (especially since she's got an advisory from the MOT of rusting sills again).
