I think at that age the 1.6 engine was detuned to 90bhp - if so I wouldn't go for it. Get an earlier 1.6 or a 1.8.

Yup, AT specs confirm it. 89bhp, no AC, keep fit windows, probably no CL either. Just like mine, except mines a 1.8.

Indeed. You want K reg or older when going for a 1.6!

UK only. JDM 1.6 was 114bhp all the way to '98.

set against the fact that it looks ( from the photo's ) to be in very nice condition.

Even the ashtray has not faded!! wink

I have played in UK 1.6 cars and not really massively noticed the reduction in horsepower.

I would say that if it is rust free and clean it is worth what the dealer is asking ( although my first change would be to get rid of that steering wheel!! )

Was that post '95 UK 1.6? Pre 93 1.6 was 114bhp, same as JDM.
