I now have another 4.5 tubes of the stuff left over as you can only buy them in packs of 5 at Wickes.

All suggestions welcome biggrin perhaps some front bumper crash protection or making the cup holders more grippy

Strangely the turbo has got no louder, perhaps removing it's warm coat has offended it. However it is getting rid of the heat, after a good run I put my hand on the bonnet and the turbo area is really warm so it's more efficient at removing the heat. I highly recommend it. All heat removal is a good thing of course.

Right, so all that insulation came out and after a blast today is my metal bonnet working like a nice heat sink?



Indeed it is. Ambient temp was about 12C and that is the bonnet roughly where the turbo is.

Hi OP!

The stage 2 has the uprated clutch, how is this? Is it aggressive, as in a snatch bite point and release, or do you find it ok to use?

With the Quaife I've been experimenting on junctions and roundabouts in dry and wet and it really does stop the wheel spin on the inside wheel. In the dry that means you shoot forward and in the wet you get some fairly easily controlled oversteer ( given I am approaching 50 and not some wonderkid) . I can see why the racers like them, really just maximises the traction.


I can tell when the car is shuffling power as well at the back on higher speed corners with traction control turned off. Before it just went but slackly. Now it "shimmies" from the back as the car transfers the load.

I'd recommend this upgrade to all NC drivers.
