Hi All

Our trusty old Civic (EU6 model - same shape as the EP3 Type-R) has developed some suspension clonks and creaks so I'm seeking to give it a thorough service with new droplinks and whatever else proves necessary to freshen it up. One noise it has developed is a grinding/CV joint/wheel bearing type noise but this only becomes apparent when cornering pretty hard at speed, e.g. roundabouts, but not during manoeuvring. The noise occurs when turning in either direction and I think it's from the front wheels but not certain. The noise comes from the side on the outside of the corner. The noise has a 'thrumming' to it which seems proportional to wheel speed. I suspect it's not CV joints since there's no issue at lock when manoeuvring. Similarly it seems odd to be wheel bearings if they're only complaining when cornering, though I suppose they are under the greatest load in that circumstance. Anyone had a similar issue or have any ideas?

Cheers.
