Picked this up for my step-daughter last week. Being mid-20s, the 1.8 Anniversary was a combination of a good spec level and reasonable for her to insure, and she liked the pearl white.
With only 11,000 miles on a 10 plate, it is essentially as new except for a few stone chips on the front end when you look closely (like when I was cleaning it). I am happy with it and she is ecstatic!

I spent yesterday hand prepping her old StreetKa - my old polisher blew out early on. It didn't need a lot of work to be fair, but I managed to burn 4 hours on the bodywork and cleaning / re-proofing the soft top / polishing out minor scratches from the flexible rear window. Just got the leather interior to go (again not much to do but I am anal about getting things as right as possible, so it will take ages), a final mechanical check and we'll get it advertised and sold.
Then I washed the MX5. I don't know what dealers to to prep their cars, but there was absolutely no protection on the paint at all. Sure, it was clean enough, but totally bare - the water just clung to it on a rinse.
I quickly threw some crappy Halfrauds style wax polish at it to get something quick on it before it rained again and have a DAS-6 Pro / Megs / Chemical Guys kit arriving tomorrow to do a better job when we get a break in the rain. I will start on my Rav4 daily hack (got some cracking scratches to get out from Christmas Eve by driving though a fallen tree - no option, long story!), then have a crack at the Vette, then move on to my wife's Cooper S, and finally the MX5 which has some very (very) light swirls in it. It has the softest paint of the 4, and although DAs are safe, I want to understand the machine and polishes thoroughly before I try to take just an even couple of microns off that pearl white!
Roll on summer!
Bugger - I just spotted in that pic that I missed the mirrors on the StreetKa.
Not the finest photo you'll ever see but the only one I have for the minute, I've recently agreed to buy this Eunos, sills are solid and mechanical bits seem good, bodywork and interior have seen better days, but it was cheap and its all fairly minor stuff which I can do whenever I find the time.
First 'classic' and first project car for me and the first fun car since I sold my Elise about 5 years ago. Really looking forward to getting stuck in. Collecting it on tomorrow will be nice to finally scratch that itch.

My "5".....only been out once so far this year (it don't like getting wet!) hope it will be dry Sunday !
It has still only done 24k, I'm trying to keep it as un "modded" as poss, with only the addition of a grill on the front to protect the radiator.....but a decent speaker system would be nice as at speed the standard stereo is poor when the rag is down.
